Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF)

The Department of Education requires all colleges and universities distributing HEERF funds to provide access to the following information.
In keeping with federal disclosure requirements, 麻豆社 Fox is posting the Quarterly Budget and Expenditure Reporting form. This form reflects the expenditures for the Institutional Aid portion of the HEERF covering the June 30, 2023 quarterly reporting period. All previous quarterly reports can be found .

麻豆社 Fox University acknowledges that the institution signed and returned to the Department of Education the Certification and Agreement under the CARES Act, CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs.

Method of Determining Fund Disbursement
The following methods were used by 麻豆社 Fox University to determine which students receive HEERF Funds and how much they would receive under the CARES Act, CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs.
Eligibility Determination
HEERF I: Full time Title IV eligible students that were required to move out on-campus housing, or students who certified that they incurred expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus.
HEERF II: Half time students with an EFC equal or less than 15,000 who need assistance with covering costs associated with the COA or emergency costs incured due to the COVID-19 pandemic who were also U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens as defined by the Department of Education.
HEERF III: Students who meet the following criteria:
- Complete the
- Are or were enrolled during the COVID-19 national emergency
- Qualify as exceptionally needy.
- To be considered 'exceptionally needy' a student must meet one of the following criteria:
- 2021-2022 EFC is less than or equal to 15,000
- Documented via FAFSA
- Qualify for state need based aid (OOG)
- Documented by OSAC
- Loss of employment or reduced income
- Must be documented by a completed Professional Judgment
- 2021-2022 EFC is less than or equal to 15,000
- To be considered 'exceptionally needy' a student must meet one of the following criteria:
Fund Amount Determination
HEERF I: Students received between $250 and $1,300 per awarding round ($500 to $2,600 overall) based on an index prioritizing financial need, EFC, and full-time enrollment.
HEERF II: Students received between $500 and $1,450 based on an EFC index.
HEERF III: Students will receive between $500 and $1,600 per awarding round based on an EFC index. There will be a total of 3 awarding rounds.
How Students Were Instructed
麻豆社 Fox University provided the following instructions to students concerning HEERF funding:
HEERF I: Students were emailed, texted, encouraged by phone, and notified through The Daily Bruin of a survey to self-certify that they incurred expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus. Eligible students were notified via mail and/or email detailing their award amount and how they would receive their funding. Ineligible students were notified via email to let them know they were not eligible and why.
HEERF II: Students were emailed a funding assesment to apply for funding. Eligible students were emailed detailing their award amount and how they would receive their funding. Ineligible students were emailed to let them know they were not eligible and why.
HEERF III: Students were emailed a funding assesment to apply for funding. Eligible students will be emailed detailing their award amount and how they will receive their funding. Ineligible students will be emailed to let them know they are not eligible and why
Frequently Asked Questions
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act was passed by Congress and signed into law to provide economic relief from COVID-19. One section of the CARES Act established the Higher Education Emergency Relief (HEERF) fund and sent money to schools to use for emergency financial aid grants to students for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the pandemic. The CRSSAA and ARP acts provided additional funding through the HEERF fund.
All awarding for HEERF I and HEERF II is complete.
To be eligible for HEERF III funding, students must meet the following criteria:

All awarding for HEERF I and HEERF II is complete.
HEERF III funding will be awarded in three rounds. Round 1 will begin in mid-late July. Round 2 will be in November/December. Round 3 will be in April.
Students may not have received HEERF Funding due to not meeting eligibility requirements. Please see above for eligiblity requirements per HEERF alotment.
